Location – Gorey is a good location to commute to Dublin and it is 45 mins from the M50, outside of peak traffic hours! For those who are priced out of Dublin, Gorey offers more affordable houses in a stunning location. In recent years, Gorey has grown in popularity due to its welcoming attitude and close location to Dublin, without the high price tag of the capital. It takes up to 90 minutes to reach the City Centre from the town of Gorey and the Central Statistics Office figures showed that approximately 2,490 people commute to Dublin from Co Wexford.

 

Hatch Labs Hatch Labs is a tech Incubator and co-working space located in Gorey. Set in a modern building, Hatch Lab is designed specifically for Technology Companies, supporting business concepts, business start-ups and co-working staff. Beaches – Of course, Wexford is known for its world-class beaches and if you love water sports then you will be in your element. Clones Strand is a lovely beach and Ballymoney boasts not one but two beaches! Roney Point is a nice secluded beach, which is ideal for quiet walks. Foodie Choices – There are plenty of restaurants in Gorey to eat in whether you fancy something laid back or more refined. Katie Daly’s Bar and Restaurant serve up gorgeous dishes and it has a great location right in the heart of Gorey. Family Friendly Activities – There are plenty of things to do in the area with the family that are free including, as mentioned, beautiful beaches and tremendous walks. However, there is plenty more to do including, Kia Ora Mini Farm, Wells House and Gardens and Wexford Lavender Farm to name a few.

 

Shopping – Gorey boasts some great shopping opportunities and for the ladies, there are several boutiques including Ruby Rouge and Fifth Avenue. Gorey Shopping Centre is on the doorstep which is anchored by the largest Dunnes Stores in the South-East and it has 20 stores under its roof. Bella Moda, Elverys Sports and GameStop are just some of the retailers in Gorey Shopping Centre. You’ll find Gorey is a busy spot for shopping and there is something for everyone.

 

Clubs and Groups – Gorey also has a vibrant community spirit and it boasts many clubs/groups in the town. Gorey and District Lions Club is one club in the town as well as Gorey and District Pool League, Gorey Active Retirement Association and Gorey Amateur Boxing Club. There are also clubs for Badminton, Beekeeping, Art, Chess, Cricket and Cycling. Nearby, Courtown boast clubs for sailor enthusiasts, golfing fans and swimmers too. And there are many, many more in the area for all the family to enjoy.
