Old-Fashioned Ideals Still Have a Place in Contemporary Business

September 14, 2018 #

Gratitude in business is a bit of a buzzword right now.  It is ‘on trend’  to feel, express and share across social media your gratitude.

I don’t disagree, if anything, I am surprised that this is considered a somewhat new concept.

The business my father founded 50 years ago was all about gratitude.  In the days before Daft, MyHome, and the national property price register, the only access to property information for home buyers and sellers was the local auctioneer or estate agent.  They expressed their gratitude by sharing their experiences  with family and friends through word  of mouth.  And my father – like every other business owner in the days before websites and Google reviews – depended upon this for his livelihood and he was unendingly grateful.  In fact, when I took over the family business a decade ago, it was something that was drummed into me and I knew never to take this for granted.

Five decades on, Kinsella Estates is a very different business, with access to cutting-edge technology for our sellers and buyers, and we are operating in a very different property marketplace, yet some things remain constant, including the symbiotic relationship between estate agents and property consumers.  We rely upon each other.

Like every customer-facing business, estate agency has its challenges, however, it is genuinely a privilege to be in a position to help people through such important life moments as buying their first home , or trading up, down and sideways into the right home for them and their families.  The team here at Kinsella Estates understand that any move has the potential to be stressful and our  job is to minimise that stress so you and your family can enjoy the best start to your new adventure.
